Worth Saving?

Is this table worth trying to save for $100?
They say it is together and all the pieces are there...but the rails are flipped so I don’t know about the rail bolts, etc.
Sorry about the lack of pictures and how bad there are.
Table is 100+ miles away.

I'd be a buyer at $100 if it's all there and if it's a 9 footer. The slate would need to be good too.

If you have the space I think would make a good weekend wintertime project as long as
you like that sort of thing and as long as all the parts are there and the slate is in over all
good condition. Has the potential of tuning out really nice for you.

We're talking about the pool table, not the grocery cart, right?

Worth Saving?

Absolutely. Obviously the poor pooch is trapped in there. Probably dehydrated and scared.

If you want an idea of how cruel somebody is being to that dog, just look at how they treated that pool table.

.

to my eyes it definitely looks like an Anniversary but there should be some branding on it somewhere. If its a Brunswick for 100$ its a no brainer IMO.

do you have any other pics available?

Not yet.
I would have to drive 240 miles round trip to look and take more pictures.
I would hate to do that and find out it’s a Global knock off.

Did Brunswick Anniversary’s have plastic weaved pockets?
I just noticed them in the picture.

For a $100 it’s a good bet....and I’m pretty sure it’s Brunswick....
...but a Global is worth the trip also.

The pockets that fit on a GC will fit on an Anniversary.
Take a truck with you...it’s not worth an exploratory trip..
...if all the parts add up, paybthe guy

Simple answer: YES!

To me it actually looks like a thorough cleaning would do wonders for it. And it does look like a Brunswick.

As far as the resto goes, keep in mind that most or all of the wood parts are being reproduced now.

If it's an 8-footer, I'd still say grab it. They actually are quite rare.

not originally anyway...

Mine came with the original Red plastic pockets but gold crown pockets also fit. A table this age could have easily had pockets replaced for any number of reasons.

I loved those red Anniversary pockets...when you smacked one in dead center...
...it sounded like a rifle shot.

you're absolutely right! I love the sound of the pockets, Centennials, Anniversary's, and (early) Gold Crowns all have that pleasing THWOCK! when you split them with speed. nothing quite like it in my opinion.

Save it

To restore it you would strip it, stain and refinish. Repaint the white lines on the skirts. So it doesn't matter what it looks like currently as long as its mostly there and intact.

I restored mine in 60 hours . Most of that was polishing the aluminum castings which can be buffed out to shine with compound. New rail cushions and cloth...prefect.

Beautiful job....and the old red pockets...I think they had some Bakelite in them.

I got the last seven Anniversaries from Partner’s in Liverpool...
...but they were a later model than yours, I believe.

probably the worst piece in the picture is worth over 100 bucks.
if you arent driving now over there you are a fool if interested.
