I saw a guy playing with one down in VA Beach a couple weeks ago. Cue looked nice, the inlay work was tight, and he said it had a nice hit to it..."alot like an older Joss", he said.

Not a bad comparison......depending on the price for one, you may come out ahead.

Happy hunting.

Worx cue

I don't know about Worx, but I bought a Ronej cue another Filippino cue maker. It is an almost exact copy of a very very expensive McWorter with ivory inlays. Came with 2 shafts and joint protectors. Beautiful, nice hitting cue. Cost me $240 with shipping.

I bought it on Ebay. He was looking for $280 plus $40 shipping. I offered him $200 plus $40 and he took it. The rubber bumber was defective and he sent me another one registered mail. I will have him make me a custom in the near future. Waiting for him to get some brown lizard or lizard print wraps. His basic leather wrap is black and OK, but I'm not a fan of black. His email is ronejcuephils@yahoo.com. His name is Jenor - ronej spelled backwards. Very reliable and satisfied.

Just an FYI. RoneJ (and possibly Worx) are all upper level Filipino Cue makers. I recently bought a cue from a Filipino Cue maker that calls his cues Vhante. This cue makers name is actually Steve Urate, and he does very good work. My experience with Vhante (and other Filipino cue makers) is this. They can (and usually do) make a very attractive cue that would cost you much more to obtain here in the USA. The inlays will not be laser perfect, but the work is what I would call high quality, and the finish is comparable with any fine cue on the market. It would take a very close inspection to see the the filler work used around the inlays. The hit is usually good and solid, but will vary (as it will with any cue maker). The cues are a very good value for the money, but your resale value here in the states will probably not be as good as a cue made by a better known cue maker (such as an plain entry level Coker, Espiritu, or Prather, etc.). If you want a one of a kind cue to play with, but you dont want to pay out $700 or more, I would recommend one the Philippine cues from Urate, RoneJ, or Gracie. They all do high quality work.

Hi Guys,

I think you guy are forgotting Miranda cues...he probably the best of all of them. The cue he and his team make are breath taking and play awesome.

Duc.
