Ob

It's not any harder then the other OB shafts. You might have to re seal the ferrule if you touch it with any sand paper. I don't know what means you have weather your doing it by hand or if you have a lathe. If you go on OB's web site and click under the heading care & warranty
you will find a list of step by step instructions on how to repair there shafts. If you don't want to do it you can always find an OB repair man in your area, There is a list of repair guys there also. Just remember the Black pad you see under the tip is not a regular fiber pad that most billiards supply places sell. It's a special carbon fiber pad that you have to get through OB. But you should be able to re tip your shaft with out replacing the Carbon fiber pad. Just remove the old tip and leave the pad in tack and you should be fine.

You don't have to have a retailer near you, just someone who does tip replacement work.

Replacement of tips for all of our cue shafts is pretty much the same process, and doesn't really differ from that of other cue shafts. The only thing a little different is our pad. Our pad is carbon fiber as opposed to vulcanized paper, and it is required. With proper technique, the pads will last for many many tip changes. They don't need to be changed very often.

Take a look at our website,

Of course, you can always send it in to us. Shipping costs make it a little more, but we keep the price of the work low to help offset the difference. You'd be surprised at how much tip work we get sent to us. We even have customers who send their cue shafts from Europe for repair and maintenance work.

If you still have questions, give us a call.
