It looks like a sugar mark that they tried to cut out and fill. If it bothers you, contact them and speak to them about it, but remember that wood is a natural material and does have inconsistencies.

i would consider that a second, i have a break cue with a knot in the butt, i got a discount when i bought it.

The Edge Hybrid shaft alone is $230. If they offered me a discount or if they notified me before hand about this and I accepted it, that would be a different story. But if it just showed up like this and Joe smo bought the same shaft at the same price and his was perfect, than , no, I would not accept it.

its the edge break shaft, 13.25 mm tip, and strong taper. total for cue was only 250. there is also some small blemishes on the butt end under the top coat.

UNACCEPTABLE!

Im sure they will make it right but it's pure aggravation especially if you are any kinda perfectionist.

I never buy a shaft or a cue through the net especially a Jacoby as Dave is a vendor at more tournies/shows than any other cue maker IMO.

I loved the look/hit of my last Jacoby but it had obscene deflection.
