Would you pay for a pro to commentate your match?

I'd pay Cobra to watch me set up my Gold Crown but he's not allowed to help or say anything.

Good luck with that....that’s like asking a nightingale not to sing.....:)
...RKC is one of our treasures.....and he WILL speak his mind.

Have to disagree with this. The best part about the old Accu-Stats tapes with Billy Incardona, Grady Mathews, Danny D, et al, was listening to their commentary because you actually learned something from it. Their commentary had evaluation, lessons, and tips to help your game. Commentary today has become just talking about whatever -- but ideally it should help teach the viewer about what they're seeing.

Well, I don't disagree older accu-stats were more educational than modern streamers.

But they're never 100% educational info, there's always at least a little extra like
background info about the players, or "wow, nice shot", or score updates from other matches, or whatever.

Even if the old guys were 80% education / 20% fluff ... if I'm gonna pay for something,
I'd rather just trim the fat and get 100% educational comments.

I feel pool commentating would do well to follow golf commentating.
..those guys know the mechanics of the game plus the history of the game ....
...and the history of the tournament, the course, and the players.

...and they are not devoid of humor,,,
...one guy years ago gave a monologue about his golf heroes over the years...
...and he finished with “But my personal hero is the man who ate the first oyster.”....
