Would you play with a 30-40 years old cue?

I say yes.

Im currently, and most likely will continue to, play with a '65 Viking Gordie Hart converted out of a True Balance. I love the cue and I plan on keeping it just how it is for as long as possible, the only new thing on it is a Kamui MS and ferrule glue. I love the feel it has and even tho the joint pin is slightly off center and the shaft insert is loose I still play with it rather than another shaft or cue itself. Hell I love it so much Im looking for another True Balance to have made into an identical Break stick.

God save the man that ever comes between me and my cue.

Hell just the other night I had an off duty waitress, who was desperately seeking attention, take a hold of it. Now I know this cue may not be worth much but I quickly asked her to remove her hand and commented that the cue was worth more to me than anything she could ever offer.
