They just put a rule in force where you can't bump your own thread for 48 hrs. Somebody with a new W/FS post try to bump yours early and see what happens.
Not sure, however, if that rule is negated/overridden when someone else comes in and bumps it prematurely.....('hey, man, nice stick' or 'darn, if I hadn't just blew my wad, I'd buy it' or 'bet it hits a TON', etc.)
Yep, noticed that a couple days ago and it's a good start. After that went into effect though, there were people bumping their own threads to the top multiple times in the same day. They were not wanted or for sale threads though. It seems to be less now though. I'm no behind the scenes forum wizard but if it's possible to keep an OP from posting until the 48 hour mark is up I'm sure it can be done with all posts. There is one draw back to that and that's when someone posts "I'll take it" in a for sale thread, for instance right after the thread is posted. Everything would be done via pm or email or text for those that include that info. The honesty factor would really come into play there.
