Wow Jasmine is for real.

HA! My husband said the same thing.

Perhaps that's a way of rationalizing the real possibility of being beat by a blonde...

How does a "man" shoot anyway? I mean I know players who have all kinds of different styles. Can someone explain the manly way to shoot pool?

they shoot and bend over with their legs apart. :grin-square:

Well you start by strutting around the table like a banny rooster with his feathers on display. Then before you address the ball, you grab hold of your belt on both sides and hike your pants about 2 inches higher, Scratch your crotch right before you lean over the table, and snort real big like a bull moose. Ram the cue ball with your stick as hard as you can and slam the balls around the table about 5 times. Then when nothing goes in yell out a few curse words and exclaim " I DONT KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED!!..............I HIT THAT SHOT PERFECT"!!!! :) :)

That's the way the last guys that asked me to play in the bars played anyway. :shakehead:

Come to think about it I think it might have had something to do with testosterone.

I think that, at pro level, men hit the balls a little harder than the ladies, and they are more likely to go for a powerful stroke when called for. They cinch fewer shots, in my opinion, than the ladies. In addition, they are slightly more likely to hit a shot with a jacked up cue than the ladies, and are slightly more likely to play a jump shot when called for than the ladies. Those are just my observations, but based on them, I have to concur with the original post that Jasmin plays more like a man than is typical of most WPBA professionals.

Now, there's an explanation I agree with and after seeing Jasmin do her thing up close and personal - I agree that she shoots "more like a male professional" than a typical female professional.

Her style reminds me of Vivian Villareal's, complete with getting out of line sometimes because she overpowers the cue ball.

Maybe it's all that experience she has and continues to gather playing against the men that gives a shooting style that is more like them.

shes the real deal, and has a lot of years ahead of her...she could be a great one.

Well, I saw her for the first time playing Alison Fisher in a TV match that she almost won and could recognize the form, composure, and determination of someone who was going to play very well. She is really amazing to watch. The photo here I found online recently and I think she is breaking ten ball. Shall we call this extra effort? Very athletic looking here!
