You want to talk about throwing your body into the break shot, this kid makes Archer's break look average and boring. Man oh man what a power break.......

Looks more powerful

than Django's break, and I am not so sure if it doesn't beat Wu's break....Wow

Looks to be a good match against Lioung Chi Dung from Viet Nam. Interesting though will be the winner going against the Chinese player.

De Luna 2, Luoung 2 ... 4 B&R's - solid play by both.

Holy Smokes - De Luna makes 3 balls and the 1 jumped the table.

Luong (finally spelled it right ... lol) cleans up with BIH, and goes up by a game 3-2. De Luna works for him, and against him for control of a shot off the break. Luong seems to shoot what I would call a 'Pinch stroke' a lot.

Might be the match of the tournament so far. 4 B&R's...totally opposite styles. Great out by Luong on that one.

De Luna hit em so hard he just jumped the 1 off the table! Yikes!

De Luna probably has the hardest break I've ever seen. I would guess in the mid to upper 30's (MPH) or so. Nice CB control too.

Luong just won. 4-2 Luong with Deluna breaking.

Eric

Luong playing great. Soft breaking and making the wing ball every time, drawing the CB 2 rails for a good shot on the 1. 4 breaks, 3 break and run outs. 5-3 Luong.

Souquet 9-4 over Stepanov.

Eric

I like Luong in this match

because he is more controlled (kind of like a Nick Varner style), finesse breaks, solid outs. De Luna has a lot of movement in his stroke, watch his upper grip arm, and doesn't seem to even out his stroke till right at the end, plus his break, although powerful, leaves room for error on first ball shot.

Mechanics can come into play a whole lot when you're coming aroiund the corner in a tournament as important as this is.

Luong leads 5-3.

I can't believe Corey said that ... lol A comment was made this has been the cleanest 10 racks played in the tournament, and Corey says, "Yeah, long dong is really letting all hang out!!!' .... Rofl

Luong leads 6-4.

Souquet 11-4 over Stepanov. Souquet in quarter finals vs Liu (China).

De Luna pushed out poorly, 2 hanging in corner, blocked by 4. Luong gave shot back, De Luna hits 2 ball poorly and opens up table. Luong runs out. 7-4 Luong.

Eric

Luong breaks and runs again! Playing great.

8-4 Luong with De Luna breaking.

Eric

De Luna soft breaks!

And blows an easy out...lucky to not leave the 4.

Safe by Luong not good enough...will probably be buried next.
DeLuna's safe not great...a hook...
Luong plays an awesome jump and nails it...long combo on the 5-9 he's looking at.
Decides to try for the cut...misses it and leaves not much on the 5.
Missed the exchange (was working) but Luong gets this one. 9-4 now.

Neither one of these guys has a straight stroke. Wavy as hell on back swing and forward motion. Cant believe Cory with the Dong jokes.

DE Luna just soft broke but missed the 4. Luong (dong) plays safe, DeLuna hits it and plays safe. Luong jumps and makes 4,plays 5/9 combo, misses but leaves tough 5. De Luna plays a two way bank on 5, misses, leaves a shot. Luong runs out. 9-4 Luong.

Eric

Luong soft breaks and starts wit hthe 1 into the side, runs out again (for the 50th time this set). Playing great. Corey calls him "Long Dong" again, lol!

Luong 10-4.

Eric

Luong comes with great position shots under pressure. Runs out another one for the hill. Making me a believer in the soft break.

Wow.

De Luna playing a great rack catches the point to blow position on the 7.
Then he plays safe and catches the point w/ the 7 again and gets a better safe out of it. Luong misses the long table kick, but nothing available for De Luna BIH.

Great safe. Missed kick. De Luna should mop up. And he does.

Luong looking for another soft break and out. His game would make Earl cry.

Slightly off on the soft break...draws straight into the side point for a scratch in the opposite side.
2-9 Combo brings it to 10-6 w/ De Luna breaking. Wish this were winner break because he could certainly catch fire.
