You're suppose to wax the cue ball. It's how pool should be played. It adds another element to the game. The cue ball reacts true.
At least to the level that Aramith cleaner does, even when diluted with IPA. When local spots clean them with windex or just don't clean them, they don't play naturally. I think waxed and cleaned balls just play better and react how they should. I can adapt to anything but that doesn't mean it's right.You're suppose to wax the cue ball. So I'm pretty sure the same happens in Philipines. But It is certainly not common in Northern America, at least the pool halls I've been to in Seattle, Chicago, Wisconsin, or Vancouver
