dang has been playing well, and entertaining. haven't seen the poles. but smart money would be on the ghost.

he's gonna nerve out in the final. come those last racks and it's close, either one of the contending poles have better nerves. fun player tho.
Maciol and Szewczyk were both shaky in the second semifinal. Neither the offensive execution nor the tactical play was very impressive.

We know of what Szewczyk is capable, and his "A" game will likely produce a win in the final, but the pool he played today might not be good enough against Jinhu Dang.

Good luck tomorrow to both finalists.

Since i was on the site i tried AGAIN to sweat me some Heyball. All it did was reinforce just how boring this game is to watch. Folks i get the precision required but it is not entertaining in any way. Hell, neurosurgery requires extreme precision but do you wanna watch it??

My mum worked in hospitals and watches surgeries all the time. Even when we are trying to eat dinner... Personal interest leads to observation and subsequent enjoyment. Chinese table is a bit like that. Cue sports enthusiasts probably going to enjoy it. I do. New players to the game, or people who don’t play at all, probably not. Funny watching them spend all this money on opening ceremonies and lights, but failing to hit the key elements of production.

Dude i've been playing pool for 40+yrs. Have watched a lot of the best who have ever played. I'm not some clueless newbie. To ME that game is boring as fk and none of your lame, downtalking attempts to explain it are going to change that. I start to watch a match, even with top players, and i just start dozin off. It has zero 'wow factor' for lack of a better term. Slow and dull. You're Chinese i assume and all you see is a steady diet of it so sure you dig it. A LOT of people feel just like me. My $.02 on this, nothing more.

I like the game. Wu was on last night. I tried. Made it two racks.

That’s great that the game has been in your life that long, a testament to the game and your love of it. I have taken some great tidbits from you on this forum in the past. We don’t always agree on stuff, but I wouldn’t ever mean to belittle anyone, or come across in that way. I think I’m quite an open, fair and considerate person.
I'm not some clueless newbie.
Did not say, or mean to imply you were. Apologies if that’s how it came across.

No one is denying it’s slow going. I think it misses the mark in many areas as a spectacle. But I’d watch it, as I’m interested in cuesports, as are the others who watch it. Nobody who doesn’t already watch cuesports would watch it. This is what I was trying to describe.

I’m not Chinese, but there sure is an abundance of opportunities to interact with it where I am. I really enjoy the Duya stuff. Theres some events that are better than others.

same. clicked hoping to see melling. got some ultra slow mongolian player instead. insufferable. but i get why the likes of wu jiaqing and other asian pool players choose to play it, it's good money and not much travel

do they have a ranking/leaderboard? kind of curious how guys like wu jiaqing, orcollo and zheng xiaohuai are doing. i imagine the latter doing well, as he switched at a younger age

edit: i was referring to heyball here, not duya
