Thought I'd share a few of the photo's I shot while in LC.
First one of my favorites, Monica and Helen, both closing in on the nine.
In this shot you get a sense of the atmosphere in the room for the first two days. In the foreground, Monica and Sarah are watching Helen close out her match against Rim.
Hey Sarah, you still owe me that drink! ...and I didn't win it playing pool people. I think I played 4-5 racks against Sarah and didnt win a single one of them. Maybe one? can't recall...was a rough night
Here is Sarah checking a rack over.
And... Gerda breaking a rack against Kelly Fisher. On this break she pocket's the one, like so many other racks broken in her last three matches. Her Breaks looked like she had snapped a chalk line between the spot and side pocket... the one ball went right down the line. She definatey had the break on the TV table figured out. I have a whole new appreciation for this lady's skills.
You have to love those Brunswick Metro's... really sharp table's!
Here is another nice shot of Gerda dialing it in. Gerda stopped a freight train!! on her match against Kelly Fisher, who was playing spot-on with a dominating presence in her matches until she met Gerda.
Gerda, You played like a true champion!
Finally, the 2004 Champion is all smiles!
The match between Karen and Gerda was spectacular, with some fantastic jump shots and safeties made. Each Lady also potted some difficult full-table cut shots.
Was fun meeting all of you!
BTW, here is a link to a high-res shot of the ladder through play ending Saturday night. If you save it and then zoom in on it you can look at the results of any game played up to the TV rounds.
