The WPBA site now has GY in the semis against Karen. Allison in the finals, with a 7-2 win over Sarah.

i would venture to say Melinda was correct as the friend is a player as well and very much a fan of one of the girls (and is there). since the posting, the wpba brackets appear to show GYK as moving on.....it looks as though they messed up the brackets again.
 
I know I'm getting old saying this almost every WPBA Tournament...but I am old. Just to pick one (I like Ga Young Kim and love to watch her on TV) Ga Young Kim loses once, goes to losers side, plays X Pan in the final 16 blind draw, X Pan loses that match, each of them now have lost once, Ga Young goes on to the TV rounds, X Pam gets on a plane back to China. This will NEVER make any sense to me. Johnnyt

Just want to go on record that I agree 100% with you Johnnyt. It doesn't seem fair because in all actuality Xiaoting only lost once, as well as Joanne Ashton, Sarah and the others. I'm sure there is a method to the madness, but I just don't get it.

I witnessed some awesome match-ups this weekend and come to the realization, how far I have to go to better my game. I just hope I live long enough to put a game together like all these players....:D

BTW Karen is leading Ga Young 5 to 4.

It has been neck and neck in the finals match between Karen and Allison. Score is now 6-5 Karen.
 
DANGGG karen looked great in that red top ...must of been some strong pin holding those flaps together lol

I really thought GYK had a chance to go all the way. She was looking great until she got to Corr. On a hill-hill match, it was very unfortunate scratching on the seven. Ouchan was looking great also, but also unfortunate losing to Allison twice, to put her out. It was a great weekend and I will upload some pics tomorrow.
