Kelly is from England. :-)

Sorry, John, I dogged that one, now I realize she's from Yorkshire. I've made the correction. Look forward to seeing you in the Fury booth next month!

Cool. Maybe we can hit some balls if you don't mind playing on my "toy" table. :-)

Thanks Timberly, Richard and Pjadedd for the kind words! :)

I'm disappointed that I didn't make the TV match, but am certainly grateful to have made it to fifth again.

I think it's great that everyone here is so supportive of the WPBA!

Allie,

Congrats on your finish!! You'll get to the TV rounds soon enough!!

Now with this new format, what is the WPBA's point structuring system? I looked on the website but the page wouldn't come up.

congrats to Kelly "Kwik Fire" Fisher. back to back and running, finish that
my basketball team(QuickFire) has just won the NIAA (NationalIndianAthleticAssociation) Nationals too-NationalChamps baby. i have named the team after Kelly-i owe her a jersey-delivery in Vegas

WPBA.COM has reported that Karen Corr has beaten Sarah Ellerby 7 - 2 to advance to the final against Kelly Fisher.

Opportunity knocks for Karen. Allison's third place finish has opened the door for a significant gain in the rankings.

Should be a great final.

That's amazing to me that Allison lost.. I was down there watching yesterday, and she played about as good as the game can be played. I think she missed 2 balls in 9 racks? She ran the 1st 5 or 6 pretty effortlessly, if I hadn't been there to see it, I wouldn't have believed it.

Not so amazing in view of the fact that Kelly also beat Allison in the televised semifinal at the 2006 Carolina Classic. Kelly Fisher is about to play in her second final of 2006 and this is just the third event of the WPBA year. Perhaps it's time for us all to recognize that Kelly Fisher must now be counted as a very dangerous opponent on WPBA Sundays, and a player likely to win some WPBA titles.

Vagabond, you're not superstitious, are you?

Kelly Fisher is one of the most gifted pool player I have ever seen.

I watched her play in Taiwan during the Amway, and it was very obvious that she had excellent knowledge on her kick, her shape, and her safety. I remember there was a match when she lost to Ga Young 5 : 1. Kelly actually played really well and I think she either did not miss or missed only one shot. It was the battle of safety when Ga young gained the upper hand. But Kelly did not miss any of her kick or jump either.

She was tied up frozen behind a ball in the middle of the table, she went three rails, jack up her cue over a ball with the rest, and made her hit. That was such a beautiful shot!

I finished watching that match with a lot of respect for Kelly. She never seemed to get intimidated by Ga young's power play; she was calm and kept her rhythm during her whole match; her stroke was smooth and fluid. She was simply amazing!

I would like to see more of her on TV, it is such a treat to have someone who is so talented yet so modest and down to earth playing beautiful pool in front of us. And in all honestly, I think Kelly has not fully developed her potential in 9 ball yet.

I can't wait to watch her play in Vegas!

No doubt

I am a huge fan of Kelly's game. She is straight to the point, quick about things all the time. I was watching my sister play JulieKelly at the FloridaClassic'05 and noticed Kelly's game, been a fan ever since. Back to back titles @ Viejas will be a good starting point in her 9ball career. Go Kelly-FireEm in Quick----Kwik Fire

QuickFire Coast to Coast

Way to go Kelly! Watch out, she is on Fire! Back to Back titles at the Viejas.

KF was definately on fire. I was there to see the semis and final match. It was awsome. KF sunk the nine on two consecutive breaks.

I wasn't trying to take anything away from Kelly Fishers game.. I was just surprised that Allison lost after watching her the day before. Point in fact I'm amazed they changed all the lightbulbs in the place after Saturday, becuase her and Jeanette were shooting lights out all day long!
