WPBA vs regional tour players

I recently picked up my cues again after a 4 year break and I'm hoping to play on some regional tours in the near future. I've never been to a womens event and I was wondering if someone can tell me how well these women play compaired to top WPBA players? Is there a huge gap? What about the lower ranked WPBA tour players compared to Fisher, Corr, Ouschen, Ga Young?
I've only ever saw the top women play (ie You tube, TV etc) so I'm just curious as to what to expect? Are they C players? A players?

Just looking for a little input before I take the leap. :)

I believe forum member FranCrimi used to play in WPBA, and could maybe tell you.I could be wrong, also.

Good luck!

Many of the women on the pro tour aside from the top rank play about a "B" level, meaning they have a tough time running out a rack of 9 ball. The absolute top women pros can give the men pros a good run, but that is maybe the top 5 or 10 of them in the world. Most of the regional players would be absolutely crushed by someone like Karen Corr or Jasmin.

If you play at a "B" level, you will compete well in a womens tournament even at a pro level depending on the draw. You really have to get to the world tournaments to be really outclassed.

Disclaimer: I'm not a woman, but I play one on TV. My info is from watching videos of girls that play in the regional tours.

half the ladies that get called to fill spots in a WPBA event these days couldnt win a regional event, Its sad really

Thanks for the response.. I'm actually surprised by this... I thought most would be able to run out a 9 ball rack.. even on the regional tours.

If you are a solid B player, you will be very competitive and have a decent chance at winning an event. If you are a solid A player, you could help fill out the middle ranks of the WPBA

In my area (Philadelphia) there were several regional ladies tours a few years back. There were mostly C to B- players in the field. About the only A player was Pam Treadway.... and she dominated, winning like 15 of the stops in a row.
