These specifications are, quite simply, perfect for the occasion.

Interesting that they consulted with Brunswick and the WPA but not the BCA. Those specs are below the BCA minimums, which are usually considered the standard for US players. However I agree that the BCA specs have far too wide a range, and the minimum of 4 7/8" is still considered loose by many good players. The BCA really need to add a "Professional" set of equipment specs to be used for tournament play.

The big thing that concerns me is the tolerances listed - BETWEEN 4 1/4" and 4 1/2"? I've never been to the WPC, are all the tables used the same make/model and installed by the same company at the same time? If so then surely they can set them up within at the most 1/16" difference from pocket to pocket? And what alllowing 1 1/4" of difference in the pocket shelf depth? That's insane!

Remember, the BCA is a member organization of the WPA.

My 2cents.

Pockets should be 4 3/8" for all corner pockets and 4 3/4" for center packets with a tolerance of 1/16".

I don't know, but I can tell your where not to go for a P3N1S enlargement. I was promised 6". If I could be bothered to get up off this sofa I'd march round there and knock his ruddy block off.
