Is The Wrap Groove On A Cuetec Cue Same Depth As Other Cues?

Cue Currently Has That Black Wrap
That's Same As Thier "house Cues"

Thanks, Brent

I haven't rewrapped one but I'd think the wrap would be slightly thinner than Irish linen. I only surmise that from the sample of the heat shrink style wrap that Cuetec uses, that I received from a supplier. You may need to sand the handle area with some 180 to get it fitted properly.

No, the groove is very slight.

I haven't worked on glass cues but spent a month machining a drum 16'x32' made of fiberglass. Rubber dish gloves, plastic shower cap, throw away paper jumpsuits, rain boots, lots of 3" masking tape, filter type respirator, safety goggles, very hot showers(to open the pores),lots and lots of cold cream.

Wrap groove Cuetec

If it is the black spray on wrap there is no groove. I have sanded one of these cues bare. It is laying on top of the cue.

I undercut one and added Irish Linen and it came out very nice. The coating was about the exact thickness as the wrap, around .022. The cue actually played better with the new wrap. It seemed to dampen some of the crappy feel of the cue.
