Wrap station

In Uniques ad for the "wrap station I" what does it do? Please dont just say wraps. I have a lathe and am thinking of purchasing the leather wrap jig. Just can't quite figure out the wrap station???

They show the wrap station in their video. It is just a nice way of holding the cue between centers when doing a leather wrap. A lathe will work fine except it is not easy to move around. Picture a dead center on one side and a jocobs chuck in the tail stock on the other. Add a long piece of aluminum in the center to hold it together. Thats it.

I own one and use it to hold the butt when the lathe is tied up or not available. Works fine. Not needed at all if you have a lathe to hold the butt.
