I have a wrapless predator sneaky with 314-2 for sale. There are a few dings and a minor scratch on the butt of the cue that i showed in pics. They are not through the finish. The butt rolls straight. The shaft is dent free but does have some blueing as you can see. It has a very minor taper roll that doesnt effect play. If you were to roll it in person im sure no one would be putt off the cue by the way it rolls. Weight is 19oz. The cue hits great but i just cant get used to LD shafts. Looking for $250 shipped. Money order only. The BK2 in the pics is also for sale for $315, specs for it are in another thread. Thanks for looking.

I bought one of these in town, quick release pin, wood-to-wood joint, black kamui tip freshly installed, no dents on butt or shaft and straight as an arrow both apart and together for 190. Why are you selling this so high? Or did I just get a solid deal?

Why are you knocking this guys selling price? If you were let's say selling a cue for x amount of dollars, and wanted that price, and someone else popped in on your thread and said, hey I got my cue for x amount of dollars (less), do you think that would help you sell your cue? NO! I don't think so...

So many people seem to like to pop on a thread, and say something about the value of the cue someone is selling, and do not even think that they are probably not helping the person sell their cue, but hurting the chances of them selling their cue....

The moderators on this forum, should not allow this at all............

If your new to the forum, I understand, and am sorry that I seem to be jumping down your throat, but this happens all the time, not just by new people, but those who should know better, and maybe they will read this and learn a thing or two?

i'm totally Agreed with you...

A friend once gave me a Predator sneaky Pete for free.

Why are you trying to charge money for this?

By the way, he also bought me a couple beers that night. If you Paypal me $10, I will gladly accept your cue for free.:)

PS. There are rules against speaking about someone's price in a not positive way.

Thanks for saving me some typing steve, lol and ross if you send me your paypal address ill have the cue and money sent to you ASAP LMAO!!!;)

I disagree. I'm not saying this deal is unreasonable but I'm sick of seeing cues listed for unrealistic prices. I've seen these cues listed for more than you can get them in Seyberts. Why shouldn't we, as consumers and pool lovers, help regulate the market by driving bad sellers away?

Allowing unrealistic pricing hurts us all. It keeps prices artificially high for a start, and god knows we pay enough for pool equipment as it is.

Sorry to the OP - at least it's a free bump!

Your deal sounded fair enough - the retail for the cue you bought is around $275. This cue is the next model up, and retails for around $315. Negotiate a little with the seller and you're looking at a fair deal.

Used Wood to wood predators are typically 40-50 bucks cheaper then the stainless steel jointed ones. Plus he is paying for shipping, you got yours in town...

Thanks,
Jon

If you want to negotiate with a seller, that is fine...do it through PM. The retail price for the cue DJ has is $449...it can be bought for less through some on-line stores, if they have it in stock...be sure to add the $15 shipping fee (more like $40-50 to ship to TheThaiger in England), though.

$250 for the cue is a very fair price. WE don't regulate the price of the market via intimidation, and a negotiation is simply between the 2 individuals, usually in private (and I did not see an offer to buy from the poster, so that is not negotiation).

The market regulates the price. If no one wants the cue after a certain time for the price asked, the seller may choose to adjust the price...or he may not.

However, I doubt that the seller will have any problem getting $250 for the cue.

Nice cue, fair price...

BTW, I have "hung around" a pool room for a long, long time. I have bought cues with retails of over $1k before for $200-300 for players to use as "seed" money. I have also bought lots of cues at cheap prices after a player busted out and decided that he was quitting pool for good. Those deals are not realistic "market" deals or prices.

Sorry guys, didn't know the rules. I'm just trying to gather information as best I can. If there are price differences, I want to know why. What justifies two similar things being sold at noticeably different rates? Is a wood-to-wood joint less valuable? If so, why? What should I look for when buying a cue? Questions like that are my motivations here, and again, I wasn't aware of the rules. Sorry.

Have you even read Bamacue's and jemerson23's posts?

Yes, sir. I read them and appreciated the info. But I wanted to explain why I asked about the price, and that I wasn't intending to slam anyone's sale, just wanted more info or some discussion on where this landed on a good deal spectrum. Thanks for pointing those posts out, though.

The fact that you were using "present tense" in your previous post made me think that you were still questioning why the price was as it was.

Thanks for clarifying the issue once again, now with the correct "past tense"

Let's look at it from a buyers point of view.... If someone is wanting to buy a cue from another on the forum, they usually offer lower than the seller is selling for correct?

So, given that fact, a smart seller would always add some cushion to the cue price he is selling, knowing for a fact that on this forum, almost everyone is looking to get a cue for less than it's being offered for....

So, even if there was padding in the OP's cue pricing, which can't be much and really doesn't matter, it makes no difference. A seller can sell for what they want, and is smart to add some cushion, and if someone wants to buy or negotiate, they can, or they can just not post at all.....

But negotiating on the thread or questioning the cue price on the thread undermines the whole process of selling a cue....

It's unethical, unloving and disrespectful......

I am questioning the price, but not because I think it's unreasonable or out of line, but because that's the only way to understand why there are price disparities and where you could expect those prices to be.

Additionally, where did I use present tense in the post to you?
