Wrapped cues?

I don't get it...it's "dirty" I want to wash my hands when I pick up a wrapped house cue. It's as dirty as the inside doorknob in a men's toilet. I'm not a clean "freak"...be honest. A Wrapped cue??? DNA wise. Doesn't make sense. It's easy to wipe down a slick cue with alcohol.

If it's personal, it's not that big a deal. But "House Cues" ?

Can someone explain to me the point of a cue with a wrap? Doesn't it just get in the way?

Some say the old cue makers started it to cover up unattractive wood. Some people say their hands sweat too much and a wrap helps absorb the moisture. And others say its helps them know where their hand is on the butt. It must be helpful or people wouldn't purchase cues with a wrap. I am not one of them. I prefer a wrapless cue because I can use a lighter grip and I seem to get more feedback. I don't understand it either.

It's like Phila steak sandwich. Get one wit or witout. Just another personal option.
