Writing an Article on Top 2014 Pool Table Conventions, Expos and Tradeshows (in USA)

Hello everyone,

My name is Jonathan. I'm a writer living in Taiwan. I've been tasked with writing an article on what will be the top Pool Table Conventions, Expos and Tradeshows of 2014 (in USA). Sadly, I am not well-versed in the topic and thus, I have come here to ask the experts.

I'm not asking you guys to write the article for me, but if you know of any events I should mention in the article, or have any links for me to check out, please let me know. These events could be for dealers, shop owners, players, enthusiasts, etc.

Welcome to AZ, Jonathan. :thumbup:

there's one going on at the moment which is Derby City Classic and another in March which is Super Billiards Expo in New Jersey.

These are large player competition events and include many vendors with cues, cases, clothing, accessories, and pool tables, although, it seems Diamond tables has that aspect locked up, and for good reason.

I am unsure of any expos or conventions that concentrate just on pool tables.

If I can ask, what publication are you writing for and when will your article be published?

The BCA Trade Show June 25-27 in Louisville is the largest wholesale show. There are also exhibitors at the BCAPL and APA National Championships. But those, like the Derby City Classic, are not classed as "shows". They are events that allow companies to purchase booth space to sell their goods at retail to end users.

The BCA Trade Show is a wholesale show that is not open to the retail user, only a wholesale show where manufacturers sell to retailers. The Super Billiards Expo is a retail show where end-users may buy but there is also some wholesale activity there as well.
