I'm looking to get a 3/8 10 tap for the modified pin. Used is fine, or a direction of where to get them new is appreciated.
( I looked at Prather, Atlas and Unique but no luck)

PM is appreciated

Thanks
Walter

Bore your hole properly

to the desired ID, many use 0.308 inches or a 7.8 MM drill size, then tap with any normal 3/8 X 10 tap. If you have a button on the end of the tap set to your hole size your tap will follow the bored hole nice and straight. You should get a nice "modified" thread in the shaft. There is no special tap needed. Some bore then use a router with a thread mill to cut the threads, it does a nice job. But many do not have the equipment for that method.

Not sure what happened when you looked at Atlas, but they have two choices. You can get a .308 or a .312.

See here: https://www.cuestik.com/store/product.asp?DEPARTMENT_ID=129&ITEM_ID=5825

I have the .308 and am wondering if I shouldn't have gotten the .312.

If you're wanting the .308 with a .307 reamer, maybe we could work something out. Only problem is I'm on off on a business trip for the next week starting tomorrow and won't be back until next Thursday (at best). I will have Internet access, so let me know.

FYI
