Hi guys, I need to buy an arbor to spin a shaft in a drill etc. Needs to be a 3/8" shank with a 5/16-14 thread pin. Ive tried to locate one through ebay etc, but Ive only found sets, and the sellers dont want to sell singles. I also am not keen on the crutch tip tool....
Thanks in advance
Chuck

Find a pin 5/16-14 and a nylon washer. chuck the pin up and put the nylon between the face of the joint and the chuck.

I've done this when I was in a pinch, only I used delrin or phenolic for the washer/spacer.

As mentioned though, I believe Chris sells those mandrels with a small enough round shank to fit in a drill chuck. I have them in that size from him and sets from atlas. The shanks on the ones that came from Him are smaller, so may work better in a drill chuck.
