Be careful how you declare the cue; I had one stuck in Shanghai customs for 2 weeks. . Had to pull some string to get it out. . Some new custom regulation that came into effect in September last year. . .:mad:

The best is to use the postal service. . .not FedEx or UPS

What is the new customs regulation for declaring cues.
How are the regulations for shipping a nice McDaniel cue with lots of ivory
into China?

Just don't declare it more than USD 150. . They are starting to tax personal
items coming into China, they wanted to impose a 20% tax on the cue I brought in.
I don't think there is any restriction on ivory coming into China;
I believe the restriction is the export of pre-ban ivory out of the states.

The best I was told is to use the postal service, the customs, are not that strict with them. . .

Wrong! Ivory is prohibited in China.

I usually bring cues to Shanghai by myself.

Sending cues to China is getting more and more risky now.

The declared value should no more than $100.

Try J and J cue`s they have a few from a friends collection,Kenny Chen,there in Mint condition.

.... . . . . . . . . . . .

The cue that i brought in had ivory. . The problem was the declared price;
should not be more than 1000rmb. . .(USD147.05882 cents to be exact)

Send me a message if interested.

Purchased from Bill at SBE 1996 as new, unused.
Supposedly, this is the cue used in the photos in the first Blue Book, page 51.
