All,

I'm awaiting word from a good friend about a Tad cue, and still waiting to hear about a BB player, too...but in the interim, I'm in the market for a player's cue to accompany my Searing and Rusty Melton case.

I'VE GOT AROUND $1800 TO PLAY WITH (AT THE MOST).

LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING SPECS:

-19oz - 19.5oz in weight (right in the middle would be great)
-2 shafts at 12.75mm or bigger
-Ivory ferrules a plus, but not required
-Linen or Leather wrap
-Prefer piloted steel joint...but will consider flat-faced, too
-MUST BE STRAIGHT AND SOUND
-Used cues are perfectly fine. Abused cues hold no interest for me
-Refinished cues are fine...just be honest about that fact

I PREFER A STIFF HITTING CUE.

NOT NECESSARY TO BE AN 1800 DOLLAR CUE. IF YOU'VE GOT A 500-900 DOLLAR CUE THAT FITS THE SPECS LISTED ABOVE, PM ME. I'LL KNOW THE RIGHT CUE WHEN I SEE IT.

EXAMPLES OF CUES I'VE REALLY LIKED IN THE PAST:

TAD
TIM SCRUGGS
SOUTHWEST (PJ)
STEVE KLEIN (one ebony into maple 6-pointer in particular comes to mind!!!)
RICK HOWARD
BENDER
SCHON (R SERIES)
CORY BARNHART
BOB RUNDE
BLACK BOAR
PAUL MOTTEY
JMW

LIST IS NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE, BUT IT'S A START

NO PURPLEHEART CUES, PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Once again, all PMs replied to.

Still on the hunt...and waiting for "The One."

To the top for a Saturday evening.

I've got three VERY strong cues in the pipe right now...and will very likely pull the trigger by tomorrow night on my new player.

If you've got a cue that fits my specs, hit me up!!

Richard Black Cocobola Hoppe & -R- Cocobola Hoppe

Hi Mark,

I've got an older Richard Black Cocobola with an Ivory Hoppe; 2 shafts one with Ivory the other LBM; SS piloted 5/16-14 joint, refinished by Richard --in like "NEW" condition, four points with flame veneers, $1,450 S&I included.

Another cue is a Jerry Rauenzahn Cocobola with an Ivory Hoppe; 2 shafts one with Ivory the other LBM, SS 1/2 joint 5/16-14, basically "NEW" test hit only. This cue has four points with veneers and Ivory diamonds and dots in the foream and buttsleeve, etc., $1,600 S&I included.

Let me know if either is of any interest and I'll post some pics and specs.

Thx,

Ken

Both cues are very nice, Ken...but neither one "screams" at me.

Last bump for the day. All PMs and offers responded to, and hoping to see some more before I make a decision.

I did want to take a second to thank all of those that have either offered up a cue or tried to steer me in the right direction. It has all been appreciated, and I look forward to seeing what kind of cue I wind up with.

Will be home for most of the day tomorrow, and will keep checking in and looking around.

Mark

A bright and early Sunday morning BUMP!!!

I'd would like to try and pick the cue for me sometime today. I'm still waiting to hear about a couple cues from those that sent PMs.

$$$CASH$$$ is waiting for the right cue...and there are a few offers that stand VERY strong. I'd like to take another day to see what else is out there for a pretty fair chunk of money, though.
