WTB: Aramith spotted cueball

Actually I have just bought a set of balls from Joerackem and he told me the discount only applied to cues, not balls. TheBook, He must have made an exception for you...:)

u can get a 5% discount from nielsens last i heard dealing direct, tell them your from AZ. I think theres a sticky saying so last i saw.

He mentioned the cue thing to me aswell, but did extend the 5% discount to a willard tipper tool, so if you get 5% be very happy, if not just be happy with Joe.

I got the Pro pack for $114.95 minus 5% but then paid $19.19 for a super pro cue ball (not measel) because I heard that some don't like playing with the measle ball. Didn't get a discount on the ball and I thought it was a little high but I wanted the real Super Pro Aramith CB and not a look alike. Did not have to pay sales tax but the shipping part seemed rather steep, $27.95. I did not Email him. I called the toll free number.

The bottom line was $156.14 for a Super Pro Package set and extra ball, that most places want at least $169.99 without the exta ball.

Sometimes on single items it is not worth buying thru the net because of the shipping charges. I have seen where the shipping is more than the item price.

Still a great place to deal with. Read the stickey. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=28814.

Hope he keeps giving us good deals.

Agreed, Joe Nielson has some of the best prices available. I shopped around to come to this conclusion. Plus, he is very speedy!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but for TheBook, have you notice any difference in playability or finish between the two Aramith cue balls? or are they the same except for the dots?

They seem to be the same color, finish and weight. The polka dots makes the CB appear larger but it is the same size. On the regular ball I am disappointed because I can feel the blue logo. I had a 30 year old set of Centennials that were in great shape except the numbers and rings popped up and you could feel them. I like the Cents but decided to just get the Super Pros because I read that they have higher tolerances. They are fantastic. Would highly recommend them. The only reason I got the set was because of the extras involved for a few dollars more.

I heard that the training ball has a different finish that makes the chalk stick to it so you can see where you hit.

Actually I bought the Measles ball individually and the Aramith set with the Measles. It seems the cue ball that came with set likes to hold chalk and it won't come off. The one I bought separately has been played with quite a bit and is still clean as a whistle.
