Hey folks, I can't take it anymore. I thought I'd be able to handle it but not too good so far. I must find a table that will satisfy my late night urge to hit balls. With a 10 day old son and a two year old daughter, my "pool hall time" is severely limited right now. I'd really like to find something like a 9ft GC1, GC2 or an anniversary within driving distance from Dallas. looks not nearly as important as playability at this point.

I sold my 8ft table last summer to "make room" so I could refinish a really old Brunswick. Well, not a single thing has been done to the Madison (anyone want to buy it cheap?) It's gorgeous but needs refinishing. Quarter sawn Mahogany with rosewood rail tops. cir. 1916. but I digress....

if you have something of interest or know of one within say.... 8-10 hours drive time, please let me know

good luck finding something worth a shizzle... I've been on the hunt for months. If you find something that might have more than one that would help on a group discount, lemme know. I'm talking with Diamond now about trying to get a Diamond or Gabriels.

let me do some talking....i think the university here in kingsville has a couple of 8ft GC 1's that they are trying to sell dirt cheap....i will see if they are still available. kingsville is located 45 minutes southwest of corpus christi and is about 6-7 hours from dallas.....

thanks for all the help and suggestions (many via pm)

still looking. but I have a lead on a guy with a few 9ft Anniversary models. That would be PERFECT! I would like a Centennial but these are an extremely worthy substitute. The price is pretty good and includes delivery, new rubber and cloth. Tables are in "used" original condition but that's ok with me.

If you are willing to look at shipping from CA there's a super nice looking Anniversary being listed here:

BTW If you have not already been doing so I can recommend you trawl your local Craigslist listings. Unfortunately a lot the Pool table listings are junk, but there are definitely bargains to be had out there if you have the time and patience.

BTW...my Gold Crown was the action table that was in the corner at Cornbreads Billiards in Houston. I bought it from Ben. It's been triple shimmed by Danziger.
