WTB: Cheap Case, <10$

Hey guys, I just recently ordered myself my first cue. I'm looking for a cheap case to carry it around in.

I've found a few on ebay for less than 10$ shipped, which are decent.

Before I pull the trigger on one of those, I was wondering if anyone else had anything for around 10$ shipped. I know for most people, it might not even be worth the trouble at this price, but it doesn't hurt for me to try.

Thanks guys, i'm a poor college student lol:p

I wasn't exactly looking for a hard case.

I was targeting someone who has a professional cue case, and maybe got a free soft case with a cue purchase that they didn't want/need.

I've shipped a lot of cases ground to overnight, and it cost's a lot more than 10.00...If you have a specific ground source please share..It gets old paying excessive rates.. :)

I can usually ship a simple 1 by 2 case in a usps priority shipping tube for around $10. For a 2 by 4 I have to go with a bigger box and the cost goes up to $20-40 depending on the weight of it all and the size of the box. I use USPS to ship all stuff, everyone has their favorites and horror stories using all companies though.

I am taking it you are talking about a soft little case like this, its called a cue sleeve.

I contacted the seller of that exact item on ebay earlier today. I asked whether it had separated pockets for the butt/shaft sections of the cue. He responded and informed me that it did not.

Other than that, it would be exactly what I was looking for. I actually like the simple design of the case. If I had a sewing machine, I would stitch a seam down the center of that sleeve, and essentially create separated pockets.

Just so everyone knows, I did thoroughly search ebay for a cue case, and have already discovered everything it has to offer. Many of which satisfy my needs.

My post was intended to simply explore my options. Also, i'll be back at school starting this saturday so my mailing address wont match my ebay confirmed address, and I feel like that will end up being a problem.

I think this is your best bet:

Or this but, this is a bit fancy and more money:

What's your location? If you're close, I have several cases I'd happily give to you; I suspect there are others who might do the same. If nothing else, I know I have a soft case that I can stuff into a small $5 priority mail box and send... it's a grey McDermott soft case with a very plush interior featuring a sleeve to separate the shaft. It even has a pocket on the front :)
