I just looked and there is one on Ebay right now! Cocobola plain!!!

DO not know the seller and it could be a shame listing but thought you might like to know!!!

I may know of someone locally (Denver area) who is selling a plain cocobolo Cog w/2 shafts. It has been used for a few years at least so not sure of the shape. It was mentioned to me that it would be for sale & they wanted around $1000 for it. Should I follow up?

yes i would love to see it

I'll try to get in touch with the owner & see if it's still available. Will let you know as I know (I'll be home cause my furnace went out & it's COOOOLLLLLDDDD)! Waiting for the heater guy.

Cinyman,

Just spoke with the owner & it's still up for sale. I found out it is about 10 years old & was bought from Joey w/one shaft & a 2nd shaft was bought from Joey, so they are both Cog shafts. I will have the cue in my possession by Saturday (tomorrow). I will weigh it, measure shaft size, roll it together & apart, take pictures, and report its general condition. I will say that after they talked to a cue dealer in town (said it may be worth $1500), not sure of the final price but I will bring them back to reality so no worries. However, it may be a hair higher than $1000 but I'll try to keep it as close to that as possible.

Hopefully you're still interested by the time I get all the info on the cue. By the way, what weight are you looking for...I think this may be around 18.5oz but not sure.

Dave

on the lighter side for sure but not real picky please post pics or pm when you can along with the other specifics thanks a lot

The cue was just delivered to me. I will have pics & weight tomorrow. It feels a little heavier than 18.5oz but I'll let you know for sure when weighed. Also, I made a boo boo about being cocobolo - it is EBONY. Here's what I know for now: It is straight, together & apart with both shafts. One shaft is 12.75mm the other is 12.5mm (don't know the weight difference yet). Has been refinished & rewrapped by BlackHeart cues out of ILL about 2-3 years ago. It's been played with and has a couple of love dings in the buttsleeves (pictures will show). otherwise-very good shape.

Asking $1100 shipped/insured. (I did my best)

I will say the cue plays very well & I might buy it if you don't. If I do, I may sell my Murray Tucker. More later...

Dave

Sorry

Hey Cinyman,

I apologize but the cue was sold locally last night. The owner wanted to take a "bird in the hand" so to speak. Sorry about that. Good luck with your search. (It was as light as she said, anyway, 18.5 & 18.3 depending on shaft).
