Ok, I contacted Bob Dzuricky (dzcues.com) about making the JP design that I wanted for my cue. He was the only person who was willing and capable of completing the project. All of the other folks listed below, most of whom are known for making custom JP's, all had some reason why they couldn't do it. Some valid and some not. Here is a picture of the result. The original specs are below. I could not be happier with Bob's work. The JP's are awesome. I had excellent communication from Bob, and good suggestions, too. I would recommend him for any cue related project.

I'd like to have a set of joint protectors made to match my cue. 3/8-10. One butt two shafts.

Please reply to my yahoo email below,

Joint protectors still wanted.....

Jim Baxter wasn't able to make these for me, and Alton seems to be too busy, I guess. Haven't been able to get a reply from him for the last few weeks. Anyway, I have included the specs. inthe first post, so that if there is someone out there that can make these for me. Please get in touch with me.

You might want to consider having a set of JP's made with just a cocobolo top and black or ebony phenolic base. It would cost 1/10 the price of the inlayed JP's and I'm sure you could have them made quickly. They would also look quite good as I have a similar set in 5/16 x 14.

p.m gsirca maybe he could make the j/ps you want. He made me a set of lacewood j/ps... no inlays. He is building some nice cues too

Check out some of Jim Baxtor's JP's that he currently has in stock. I'm sure he has something that will match! No better person to deal with too!

Thanks again for the input. Here's just t little more background.

I had first contacted Jim Baxter, but since I specifically want this to match the seven points, that are on the cue, he wasn't able to make it happen. Apparently, he is only able to make items that have an even number of inlays. The cue is pretty special, and I feel that it deserves a special set of JP's.

You might end up paying more for the JP's then you did the cue! The importance of Jp's is to seal the end grain. The sooner you get a set...the better!

I assume your talking about Jim Baxter, and I would love to have him make the JP's for me, but he said seven inlays is not possible for him. Thanks for the input though.

Try Steve Kornele.

He does excellent work for a reasonable price.

Click here to see some that he made for me.

Those are fairly simple, but if you check out the Joint Protectors page on his site, you'll see that he is quite capable of much fancier ones.
