I have a professional lathe by Todd, wondering if anyone has the delrin gibs they would sell?

thanks, Ill PM those guys. BTW, has anybody used them. My carriage never binds, but more often than not with the powerfeed on you can hear that it is too tight in places and looser in others. I read that this is just a bad setup, your gib is supposed to be a softer material than your bed, in the case of a new taig, the bed is steel so it is. With the longer beds, most of them are aluminum, which may be softer than the brass.

has anyone tried these, seems they would make the carriage smoother because they are softer than the aluminum bed. Seriously considering equiping linear rails.

yes, I use them and they make alot of difference. I got mine from Bassel.

gibs

I got some from Bassell also but ended up being the wrong ones as mine is an older carriage. I ended up making some out of teflon. Works better than the brass imho.

Yes I have them $12 each. For old style 3 inch long carriage they are $15. They allow you to snug up the carriage a little snugger and it still travel.

Chris if I have a 3 inch brass gib it would be the old style carriage?

Yes that is correct. This is the carriage gib and not the cross-slide gib. If you have jam nuts that lock your gib set screws down then you have the old style.
