WTB Everest tips without red line.

yeah, when they first came out they didn't have the red layer....i haven't seen one of the older ones in quite some time, good luck finding some!

if the red line bothers you, a good burnishing and a dark brown stain marker will make it pretty much invisible

call me crazy but i find the old ones are a tad firmer and hold there shape much longer. If i talked to tiger i am sure they would tell me nothing has changed but the red line being added...

have 24 without the line and still looking for some more!

i haven't noticed any difference, but the difference you're seeing could be that it's because the tips are older and not because something has changed with tiger's processes. perhaps the leather has dried out some over time and that made it a little harder?

i find a lot of the tiger tips to be too soft both in hardness and in hit, and i've been pressing mine in a picone tip press overnight before installing. something like that might work for you if you can't find the older tiger tips

age could be the reason... even when installing the older tips i find them smooth and easier to cut.

pressing them will be plan B when the old ones run out...
