WTB: Hightower Power Feed Unit

Contact Chris Hightower, chances are (99.9%) you will not find a used Chris Hightower powerfeed.

Yea I saw someone was selling it I was offline for a few days and missed it. :(

I made my own. Ordered the motor from McMaster Carr and the drive gear, coupling, and brace/bracket for the motor from Chris, the on/off/on switch from Radio Shack, and used a tattoo power supply for adjusting the speed off of ebay. All in all I spent about the same amount of money (maybe $10-$15 less) but the power supply gives a LOT more adjustability that what is offered by Chris's version. Chris was very instrumental and helpful in helping me get it set up and working correctly too.

Make sure it is for one of his lahes .......

What you really need to do is measure the pinion. From what I have seen most of the larger Hightower lathes and Todd's have a .250 pinion. The standard taig pinion is smaller. However, then power feed I bought a few weeks ago had the smaller taig pinion so I bored the fitting and put in the larger one.
