i m Looking for a used or new jack justis case 2*4 (pro lite or tube style)
must have 16 inch pocket, preferably 1 16 inch and 1 8 inch
not to picky on leather/color scheme, light or dark is acceptable.

no cases above 500 US
must be able to ship/insure to canada

I wish I could sell you mine, but with that recent US to Canada fiasco described on this forum, I'm even more leery about Canada shipping. I used to ship baseball cards to Canada, no problem - but I did not insure them. Anyone know how to go about safely shipping insured to Canada, where both parties are protected? Costs? Thanks.

I don't even know if you are interested in this case, but take a look.

Edited to add: my ebay auctions are set up as 'US only', so I don't even think I can modify the listing at this point to allow Canada shipping. Still, I'm interested to hear opinions so that I can open up future auctions for Canadians.

Just my 2 cents..I don't know if the problem was so much shipping between Canada and the US (if your talking about that Justis trade foolishness), but more of an issue with one of the people specifically. Unless your shipping a banned item between borders (ie. Ivory to Canada) I have not seen too many issues.

I do a lot of buying between the US, and me here in Montreal, and almost never had a problem. For more valuable items, ALWAYS go with FEDEX. CanadaPost and USPS has been pretty impressive as of late and use them for mid-end items. The key is finding a trustworthy buyer and seller. Bless these boards for that!!!!!

Ironically, on my web stores and even Ebay, I ship to all EU countries and most in Asia, but I DON'T SHIP to CANADA!

They interpreted NAAFTA different than our friends to the South, and used it to dictate their own shipping standards. Different tape, different forms, different rules.

EX: Have a pre-print label with "J.R. Jones" as your name?? Canada won't accept it - must be full first name. It can/will be returned.

Company name with no individual name? Ditto.

Certain types of 2mil tape used by millions of shippers? Not up to CA standards.

Have a box with a staple on the side/corner/wherever? Rejected.

Global Priority Mail to most EU countries - 2 copies of Customs Form.
Same box to CA requires 5 friggin' copies!!

The list goes on & on.

So I say, fuggemall, eh? :p

there wasnt a fiasco...the reason why the deal got all messed up was because the original package was never sent. it has nothing to do with shipping from the usa to canada. when chris sent jun's package back it got here in a day so there is no problem with shipping; provided that the item has actually been shipped of course.

ivory is no problem i've had like 6 ivory cues shipped up here. unless u blatantly declare it as an ivory cue, customs will not open it and will never know there is ivory in the cue.

Wow. First of all, you are referring to CANADIAN Customs, which has nothing to do with US Customs. If they really never open the boxes, it just proves my point (above) about how screwed up they are. Canada is obligated to support the CITES Treaty (which they signed).

US Customs will do random inspections, regardless of whether "u blatantly declare it as an ivory cue" or not. The fact that you've received 6 cues with ivory is just lucky. Eventually, US Customs will open your box, see the ivory, and prevent the shipment.

Not picking on all you Canucks. Just pointing out how tricky shipping to youse guys can be, eh!!

If one is shipping to CA, use FEDEX. Next Day or 2nd Day.

and obviously i'm referring to canadian customs as i am talking about receiving cues here in canada. if us customs inspects it then they inspect it. but the same can be said for stuff u ship overseas as well so i dont understand what that has to do with canada specifically since it would affect all out of country shipments. unless of course u're saying to me that us customs only inspects packages to canada but i dont think thats the case.

and it is not luck that i received those cues, i havent heard of anyone getting it confiscated when receiving cues from the states. unless maybe really high end ones insured for thousands of dollars cuz that will bring attention.

also, i've shipped ivory cues to the us as well and never had them confiscated...does that mean that us customs/shipping is as screwed up as canadian shipping?

Easy now. Don't get defensive as I'm not attacking Canadians in general.

It's just a fact that Canada has shipping rules & policies that no other country in the world has adopted. For the shipper, things to CA require special attention. But let's not confuse that fact with shipping Ivory, which is a separate issue.

So to clarify: I don't ship ANYTHING to Canada.

I ship everything EXCEPT IVORY to other countries.

FYI, there have been many AZers with a cue caught up in Customs.

And again, shipping to/from CA-US via FEDEX will bypass most of the CA Postal regulations and problems.

would one from jack cost more than 500? i have one but would like to keep it, lemme ask someone for u i'll pm u in a sec.

yea stuff gets caught in customs only cuz they tax it, anything that doesnt have to be taxed goes thru very quickly. but even if it's held at customs, they dont confiscate it and u do get ur cue so im not sure what the problem with shipping to canada is.

i've had stuff shipped with usps express many times, not just cues but other stuff too and everything has gotten here within 5 business days as they guaranteed on the usps site. i've probably had around 60-70 things shipped to me usps express and not once has it ever been late. even the stuff that were going thru customs came on time. perhaps other services are slow like priority mail but i know usps express is fine. also had ups ground shipping which worked nicely as well. i could be lucky but i dont think thats it.

just a bump, yes i could get a new case from jack within my budget but, i would have to wait until august to receive it, im hoping to see one sooner that august.
