I think if you watch the movie the n7 isn't the same. I have one (and the movie) the inlays in the vaneers are not in the movie and the newer n7s have more of a figured maple than the movie. Other than that they are alike. Now the signature n7 is signed by Dan Janes or a water transfer devalued with the signature. To me it looks like a Balabushka, as the movie stated (which was false it was not a bushka) other than that the newer n7s are excellent. The Joss shafts are awesome, yet I play with a bdcue ss360 on mine unless I feel inclined to switch it up.

I will never live with a Joss again as I feel 35 years was too long not to have one ;)

Thanks for the all the advice and sales offers so far, guys.I never expect so many replies so quickly.

From what I've seen, the late 80s-early 90s N-7 has the large white butt cap I like, but I like the points and the notched diamonds of the more current N-7. Looks like I might have to compromise,or contact about a custom build(which I'm not sure I could afford without really dipping into the savings).

I'll definitely be keeping all the contacts and offers I've receivec so far at the forefront of my mind.

Bumping this back up.I bought a nice new N7 from AZer workthenight (great guy to deal with, btw), and am now looking for a vintage N7, or other nice Vintage Joss to add to my growing collection. please post or pm,please have specs and pics available, along with price.

A Great Vintage Gold-Letter Joss, w/Brazilian Rosewood, Ivory Ferrule & Second Shaft!

Bump,as still looking. Edited original post to update.

SOLD!
Hello Joss Fan,

Check out this beautiful Joss model 24, an upper end model from the early to mid-80's, featuring old-growth Brazilian Rosewood for the butt and forearm inlays, a period correct, gold-letter Joss shaft with ivory ferrule, and a second shaft, made by Joss in 2010.

Here's the ebay link:

This cue is amazing, in terms of playing performance, and overall aesthetic beauty. I don't believe you'll find Brazilian rosewood like this on an N-7 (Color of Money) cue. If you're N-7 plays anything like this classic 80's Joss predecessor, than you're a lucky man! The N-7's design does draw somewhat from this Joss model 24, especially in the forearm points.

I'm including a 2010 Joss shaft with this purchase ($130.00 value)

I purchased this cue last year from a custom cuemaker/cue repair expert, (former pro-level tour player), who told me that this Joss outperformed all of the cues from an estate collection that he was hired to sell, including numerous custom cues, from various makers. This is really saying something!

The Joss Cues from the early to mid 1980's, produced, arguably, some of the finest performing cues in the company's history. This is a fine example of the famed, "Gold-letter-era" Joss cues, from this important era of Joss Custom Cues.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM.

Good luck with your search.

Regards,

Glen (strum4u)

Another bump.Got some nice offers, but either now what I'm looking for, or no pics are ever sent. Here's what I'm looking for mainly: large whit/yellowish butt cap, four points with veneers preferred, nice inlays preferred but not mandatory, or the following models: model #18, older N7 from custom or 95 series. gold letter models a plus.

Joss N7

I've been looking through this and I noticed you are still searching for a specific Joss N7.

My buddy has a Joss Cue that you may be looking for (I was on the fence about buying it).

These images are taken from Dishttp://www.discountpoolcues.com/colorofMoney.htmcount Pool Cues (not sure if it's still running or not)

But it's his cue exactly in terms of butt:

The shaft is 12mm. He has another OB Classic Pro shaft with it as well (but he was going to keep it with his Schon).

Anyway, let me know if this is the one and I can ask him.
