WTB lathe attachment or piece

My grandfather has a few lathes that were used for various work that he did earlier in his life. I am looking for a piece that will fit into the chuck part of the lathe that I can then have the shaft of a cue attach to it. One side threaded like the pin in a butt and the other locks down into the chuck. so i put this metal piece into the chuck and screw the shaft onto it like it would screw onto a butt. i saw a cue maker with a piece similar to what i mean when he was at a tournament replacing tips and fixing mushrooms etc. and he changed them depending on the thread type of whoevers shaft was up for retipping/repairs next.
I have looked on the Internet but i cant find a picture of what i want, and i don't know what its called  .
The lathe i will be using has a very slow speed i can use. So if i had that piece i could turn shafts nicely with it since i only want to use light sandpaper etc. to fix tips. also i will be practicing with some junk shafts before i use my good ones. I just want to be able to fix my own mushrooms and perhaps put a tip on from time to time.
Oh, my shafts threads are for a Schon cue. I would like to buy 2 of the "Pieces" though because another family member has a meucci threaded shaft. Just need a site or place that sells stuff like that. Thanks for any help in advance. :D

you're looking for driver pins
sometimes called maintenance pins

Joey is correct 5/16-18 fits Meucci, but If your shaft is a schon, you may need 5/16-14 to fit the threads. Those are also usually piloted joints also, and most drive pins are flat faced. What I do is stick a unused phenolic ring a hair thicker then the brass pilot on the shaft between the drive and shaft to take up the gap that would be left. You can get drives from Atlas billiards supply, and from Chris hightower at cuesmith.com also.

You may also need a concave live center?

This would cradle the tip end of the shaft so you can support it while your chuck is holding the maintenance pin. The live center fits into the Tailstock of the lathe, it usually has a Morse Taper to the shank.. If you are at all unsure of these terms then please look them up online under lathe operation so you understand the suggestions. You will also find many safety tips to make your first cue repair venture successful and save you from bodily harm. Even a wood lathe can injure you in a heartbeat if you have no experience. Good Luck!
