Hey I was curious...

I really would like to try out a 60+" cue (actually longer if such a thing exists)

I dont have the cash to buy a expensive (or even close) full cue...

I do have multiple shafts (314 & Z) in uniloc & another joint (can find out which it is (its one of the first predator cues ever made)...

Was wondering if someone had a very simple or very cheap butt that is looooonger than normal...

I know ideally you have a 30+" shaft & matching length butt...

but I was wondering if just getting really long butt section and using the standard 28" shafts I already have would be worth giving a try...

Really looks mean nothing to me, its 100% playablity... I play equally well with all the pred shafts Ive tried but standard deflection shafts are a no way... Whatever cue I used would be outfitted with a LD shaft...

So, back to my question...

ANyone have (or could make?) a very long butt section?

or could offer some sort of solution...

I want to try a long cue.

WHo will and how much to make me a 34-36" Butt section of a cue???

Don't care, plain jane, splice, anything... As long as it's straight.... JUst needs a joint, buttcap/bumper... and preferably a wrap.... BUt if not wrapped, whatever.. don't care...

Anyone game?

Use the opportunity as a chance to practice for new of aspiring cue makers ??? I will GLADLY tout your work. Obviously I will pay you to do it too..

if you are not in a hurry

i have some 36 inch long kingwood that should soon be ready to start cutting, i'll try almost anything once.
couple years back, i made a 64 inch cue, 32-32, he sent it back and had me to recut it to 30-30.

Long Butt

I am in the same boat wiht you.
I am looking for a 31" butt to go wiht a 29" shaft.
I only found 2 cheap options for this long of a cue.
First is a 60" Schmelke for just over $100. Ther other is a 62" elite cue found at pooldawg. The elite is 31" butt & 31" shaft.
I could never find any specs on the Schmelke.
Another option is to get a custom one made.
That is what I am in the process of doing now. However that might not work out either becasue makers only have a certain length of stock they work with.

as a true custom provider we are, your request is possible, specs as to your liking. it all boils down how much are you willing to spend since i do not see you mentioning your budget sir. kindly PM me your budget and we'll go from there. i hope you also understand that more length means more wood, so you have to consider that matter for your budget to be reasonable. :wink:

I would just get an extension made for your current cue, that way it still fits in a case and you dont get left with a cue no one wants to buy. If you gotta buy a new cue, get a mezz with the screw on extension.
