WTB: McDemett butt cap

Actually Andre, that's a bumper, not a butt cap, but truthfully, that is what I've been assuming that he needs as I doubt there is such a thing as a butt cap ready made to fit the McDermott, perfectly, without some machining plus the emblem would need to be engraved after the machining, I would certainly think. By the way, thanks for the link in case I ever need one.

sorry for this mistake, true, link is for bumper not butt cap.
why not send it back to Mc Dermott and get it replaced.. They have a live time warranty.
Maybe yes and maybe no. It is my understanding that there are terms and conditions on that lifetime warranty such as it had to be registered when bought, bought new from an authorized dealer and only the original purchaser with documentation. With that said, if he wants the logo and look original that is what he needs to do. What I have done a number of times in the past when McDermotts came in for broken butt caps, as long as the damage wasn't past the logo, I would replace from just lower back. With the D-line with the lighter butt caps I would do the same thing but put a colored ring between the two a jointing pieces.

You are right Dick. There is a one time fee of something like $28 & it must be accompanied by the original sales slip...JER
