I am looking for a stiff hitting Low Deflection shaft that isnt a 314 or OB1 or tigerX (Radial Pin). Does anybody know of a GOOD QUALITY LD shaft out there?

Ive had an OB1.. it was too flimsy.
TigerX wasnt stiff enough..
Love the 314's but im done with them!

just went through my third 314 in the past year and half due to warpage!! I DONT store them in or around Humidity, and im always going straight home from pool hall because i dont want them to sit in the car while im in the grocery store to have a chance at warping.. but it happens regardless. I am carrying around a 3x7 with 5 other shafts and they NEVER have warped while i went through 3 predators. I also do NOT break with them.
Sorry im venting out my frustrations..

Try the OB Classic. I believe it was created with shooters like you in mind.

Exactly why I bought a bunch of Pre Cat 314 partials when you could still buy them. Also bought a bunch of KJ's last ones . I have them made up with cues that I have made.

You could always learn to play with real, solid wood. It'd be like taking off training wheels :D

Wow you think a 314 is stiffer than a Tiger shaft? NO way!

get yourself a mezz Hybrid pro shaft. the HP1 and alpha shaft are pretty stiff. they don't buckle, like most LD shafts do, when you pound a ball

i''ll second that belief. the tiger shafts i've hit with had more flex than the 314's i've owned. i've hit wtih a few really whippy 314's that weren't as stiff as tiger shafts but for the most part the old school 314's were stiffer than the tiger shafts i've used

Agreed the regular tiger shafts are not as stiff. However the Ultra LD is awesome. I suggest trying that one!

does it still buckle if you have to pound a shot? i'm not real concerned about deflection, i can manage deflection as long as it's not too severe, i'm more concerned about consistency. i don't like having to figure out how much the shaft is going to give out every shot. with stiff shafts you have to fade deflection but it's always the same

Tap Tap.

I've got a couple of Predator shafts that I purchased as blanks and matched to my player back somewherwe around 1991. I've tried using them several times and it's always back to the standard TAD shaft.

wd700....... solid hitting like a regular maple shaft with the LD properties........ waaaaay better than the 314-2 I had...
