WTB Nice SW $1500

I know that some decent, fairly plain SW's have sold for a bit more recently. I also know of one that sold for right around this amount.
I'm looking for a 3 or 4 pointer, plain butt, not too heavy (20 oz. or less)...
in solid playing shape.
My wife can't know about this. The most I can "sneak" out is $1,500. Can send money order overnight, for the right deal.
email is ccampbell7@carolina.rr.com
or, just pm me.
Peace,
Jeff

I would also like to find a 3 or 4 ponter for $1500. Better yet, I would like to find one for under $5000 or $6000!

I think you should look for a plain-jane, 'pacifier', or a possibly a very plain 6 pointer. I think $1500 isn't too much to ask, however 3 or 4 point South's are incredibly rare.

Good Luck.

Easy.....kinda

I saw alot of Southwests for sale at the derby city classic last year.

Prices were down in the range you are looking easily in the $1K -$1500 range, but the shafts were pencils.

If you want to get a Southwest for low dollar and then worry about shafts, it can be done.

Sean and the remainder of the cue dealers were demanding full size shafts.

Opportunity for some, IMO.

Regards
Ken

I have a bird eye maple plain jane SW for sale. It's a Jerry Franklin SW with one shaft. If you were interested I could email you the pics. It's used with nicks and dings across the cue but it's a player.

umm

Jeff, you seem like a nice guy but you're setting yourself up to get ripped off.
1500 isn't going to buy you a southwest with points and decent shafts. You need to tell some reputable dealers what you want and wait. Be a little patient and someone will find one for you. Cueaddicts, Poolchady, Dick Abbott, Bushwacker, Erik Lee, Fast and Loose, Bogey etc. All these guys are first class and picky. No offense, but it sounds like you may be better off letting someone else do your shopping. Be patient.

Andy

Also for 1500 you may want to look at a Bluegrass or James White

I appreciate the input! I am relatively new to this forum. Been lurking, and reading as much as possible for a couple months. Although I don't really know sh.., when it comes to this...I am fairly shrewd in general.
I will do business with noone that doesn't have an established, and sterling reputation on this forum. I will get detailed pics. I will research the appropriate value here...and elsewhere of any cue I'm considering.
But...I really want a SW player!

Hi Jeff,

Presently I have three SW cues for you to select from (6 pointer), frankly its really hard to get a nice one within your price range , you know you always get what you paid for....if any interested, I'll send you the pix and try to meet both side in the half way.

Best,

Matt
