I am looking for a nice used cue with good leather wrap and low deflection shaft. The cue has to roll completely straight and should not have any noticeable dents or nicks. Signs of normal use is no problem. I prefer uni-loc joint, but it is not a must.

My budget limit is about $ 400.

Do you have or know about a cue that may fit this description? Please let me know...

Doesn't have a uni-loc joint but since that isn't a must, here is a NEW cue with a leather wrap for well under $400.00 instead of a used cue. I have a JD cue and love it, plus the seller is one very nice and honest guy to deal with. I purchased mine from the same seller.

Thanks for the link. I do not know much (anything at all) about JD cues.

For custom cues I prefer a well known brand.

I am also interested in production (even cues rewrapped with leather)

I can understand that, just knew it was a page or two back and didn't know if you saw it, but I completely understand. Dan gives a money back guarantee on these cues. I love mine.
 
I have a Jensen lacewood 4 point I might let go near that price. PM me if you want more details.

$400 can't really get you a custom cue from a renowned cuemaker ( At least not with points / inlays)... Unless the seller is way out of his mind.

There're pretty decent dealers out there that can set you a good cue for that price though. Talk to Bamacues/ Rossaroni / tommnyQ's. They usually have good customs going for around that price.

Anyway, JD cues are way better off than their pricing. He's a rising Filipino cuemaker. You can ask around. These days, all the JD cues posted are being swiped away within a day or two with shockingly good remarks. You should really consider one of it.

Honestly, I won't recommend a uni-loc because of the minimal feedback you receive. Playing with good cues usually focus a lot of good feel / stiffness. It's important to have good feedback from the cue as well.

most of the highly known cue makers charge alot and your paying for the name those jd cues hit very well and your getting a high quality product toomnycues is always got some jds i recomend looking into them ive been shooting with an sw tribute jd. very nice work and hits phenominal

Since he stated well-known cuemakers, I can only assume cuemakers names heard all too often.

Maybe like Cory Banhart, Paul Drexler, Ariel Carmeli, Andy Gilbert, Cogs, Blackcreek...

I was planning on holding on to this cue for a while but I'm in a fund raising mood. If you dont want it I may do a for sale posting for it or I may just hold on to it.

It is a brand new Custom one of a kind TNT Rosewood with a matching Tiger Ultra X shaft. The cue has a brown leather wrap that looks great with the highly figured Rosewood. The joint is a 3/8-10

It weighs 19.8oz and does have a TNT weightbolt in it so it can be adjusted if need be.

I'll let it go for $400.00 including shipping. Since you are new I will require a USPS money order in hand if you choose to purchase this cue. I'll do Paypal if there are any well established members here who can vouch for you.

I understand that the choice of custom cues is quite limited within this price range. At the same time I consider spending 300-400 $ on a pretty unknown cue to risky. Then I would rather go for a nice used production cue.

I would prefer an american made cue. An old Predator from the time they were still produced in US, Carolina, Dominiak, Jacoby, Jerico, Joss, McDermott, Pechauer, Schmelke, Schon, Schuler, Viking or even other high quality cue.

I prefer UNI-LOC because my best shafts have that joint. I also have 3/8 - 10 (McDermott) I2-shaft, but any joints may be in consideration.

My main preference is that the wrap is leather and feels great. As a lot of these production cues are sold with linnen wrap, a second hand cue rewrapped with leather (rewrapping has to be perfect) could also be a good choice.

I would like to buy a used cue to gain some advantage on quality/price compared to a brand new cue, and because of the wrap issue.

It's a Pred. 4k1. Looks pretty well maintained, considering that you can usually judge the use of the cue by the scuff marks on the buttcap (the buttcap looks pristine) and the general outlook of the cue.

It's within your budget, and hey! It also has a uni-loc shaft.

There are offers for Joss / Mcdermott / Pechauer / Viking on AzB that should lie within your price range. The rest of your listed cuemakers are pretty tough on for a budget of $400.

Regardless, I'll still encourage you to give it some time. Don't need to rush into sales. The cue market is pretty big here.

It is a cue that can come into consideration. How do I know that is not a fake predator cue? I have to admit that I am worried about importing from outside Europe or Northern America as I do not know much about legislation there. I am in general worried about transfering 300-400 $ in advance everywhere. A good rating here will of course help a lot.

I believe that's not really a fake I guess... It's not easy to identify high quality fakes but the pred. logo at the butt looks pretty authentic. Also, imitations usually do more complex cues because it attracts more attention in the first place and are able to be sold at a higher value.

Legislation within Asia is pretty alright depending on who and the location. Generally, I believe Itrader is a safe guide so long as you check out his comments and people's feedback on him/her.

You should use an escrow service (Markus thru FAST_N_LOOSE, Ross thru Rossaroni. There maybe others around too. Feel free to ask around) for your first deal. Most people will want that because it's your very first transaction unless you have someone solid to vouch for you. That way, it's hard to have any scammers on either side because there's a third party to verify any problems during the course of the transaction.

I have received quite some offers, but I am still interested in more offers of nice and good cues with leather wrap. I will go on holiday for some days, and I am looking forward to review the replies when I come back.
