Hi all,

I'm in the market to purchase a Capone cue (preferably 4 points, linen wrap and ivory diamonds. Pretty standard cue. I'm also curious, is there a difference in how Capones play as far as 1) when they're made, 2) materials, 3) design of the cue? Thanks! I played with my friend's basic capone (no points) last night and could not miss. The cue felt incredibly solid. :grin-square:

thanks for the link! I didn't find a cue there to my liking. I'm looking for one very similar to this one that had already been sold...

same color wrap, similar veneers and ivory diamond. There's a beautiful capone that is still being sold here, but I really don't like how leather wraps feel. I know I'm probably in the minority when I say that, but I just prefer linen.

You could always have the leather wrap removed and a linen wrap put on. Good luck with the search.
that's in consideration actually, but it would be an added expense. Damn the price of oil!

You can't beat the package deal Roy's got at Indy Q on the player & JB Capones w/ Whitten case. Ebony, Ivory, Silver, Malachite, Thuya Burl, 5 veneers.

Mike's asking price is actually a little better than I thought. I'm in no particular rush anyway so the wait time is fine with me. In the meantime, if anybody has a similar Capone they'd like to sell, please contact me. Thanks!

It was me who got that Capone that you posted a picture of. You made a very, very, Very good decision getting a Capone. Let us know how you'll like yours when you get it! :)

damn you got a seriously nice cue. I was kicking myself in the butt for not having to have found that thread earlier! How are you playing with it? What did you use before?

what is mike's current turnaround time?
send him a message on his site and he will give you an estimate. BTW, Mike is a seriously AWESOME person to deal with. I can't wait to get my cue!

Thanks!! Well, I have had a Schon STL-4 right before it, before the Schon a Predator 5k2, a McDermott Warden and I begun with a $60 BCE cue (but that was 4 or 5 years ago)

I was at a league event yesterday but I was playing crap as I missed 2 weeks. Now, seriously, I love this cue very-very much and with a Kamui Med-Soft tip you can give as much spin to the CB as you want. The cue's hit and balance is perfect and what is good to see is the way literally everyone smiles after hitting a few balls with it. Yesterday a friend of mine gave it a try and he ran two racks of 9-ball after missing a shot :)

All in all I love my cue and I am sure that yours will be just as great or better than mine. Once again, you made a very good decision getting a Capone
