I realize that this may well be a shot in the dark...but I am looking for another shaft for my old Helmstetter 86-06. It is a piloted 5/16x18 with an old Cerosite ferrule. Obviously, it must be straight and ding free. Please refer to the attached photo for the ringwork required for consideration. Please feel free to email me: onthehillagain@yahoo.com Thanks!

Hey Lisa,
I read on the internet that there were no shafts anywhere in the world for those 86-06 Helmstetters
so you should probably just sell this one to me.:rotflmao1:

Hey Girl, any decent cue maker should be able to duplicate that ring work. However, I think you can contact Adam custom Cues and have an extra shaft made to your specifications without too much trouble. Because finding a servicible 86-06 shaft may be nearly impossible.

Contact Jed Foreman at Adam Cue Company at the link below:

Take Care Lisa!!!!:)

C'mon Craig don't encourage her I'm trying to buy this stick.
Lisa pay no attention to him.

Thanks Craig for the info...I may well just do that. The ringwork in this Helmstetter has the old, no longer available rust colored phenolic, like that found on the older Blue Grass cues...so I may or may not have much luck there as well. But it is definitely worth an email to find out!

Yes, I was already watching that one...LoL. It is a beautiful cue in terrific condition...but kinda silly to buy a whole cue just to get at the shaft...but don't think the thought didn't cross my mind!

Actually, I was toying with the cue, because I had an eBay coupon, and was gonna give the ol' man the butt and the older shaft I have currently, as it is a little thinner than the one on that cue...but then we discovered we had a water line leak, and a bad one, and well, that pretty much killed the purchase. :frown:

Lisa, I think you are ignoring me.

Now Grumpy, I did tell you you were on the 'list'...LoL...along with about ten others who are just pestering me for this cue. Most of them are locals, who have had a chance to hit a few with it...they add a whole new meaning to 'point and shoot'...LoL!

Actually, I have not forgotten about you at all...as I have seen your repeated pleas go unanswered for an 86-06...you are persistent! Truth be told, I have a tough time putting this one down once I start playing with it...just too much fun. I honestly believe that I would kick myself until the end of time if I ever did sell it...but only time will tell!
