I just bought a oversized Olhausen table (46 x 92). It is Maple stained (Med Brown). I'm looking for pool table light (at least 60") for it. I live in Vancouver, WA.

Any particu;ar type? Wood box style? Lamp style? Florescent, incandescent?

I want excellent lighting preferably with a bulb and a wood box type. My previous light was set up with a variable light control (can't do that with floresent). I could change the lighting to match different bars in the Portland, OR area. The wood box however I think would be hard to match with the table. Also with the box style I would like a diffuser.

I would consider a lamp style and I think it would have to be 4 lamp light.

The main thing is EXCELLENT LIGHTING.

I also have an Olhausen 8' table, in the medium Oak stain. It is a model from about 6 years ago, and looks just like their Pro model, except the 'home' version. I currently have one of the incandescent bulb type lights, and hate it! The ol' man is constantly taking out the bulb on the end shade....not to mention, incandescent bulbs throw a yellow cast to all the colors. I am going to build a box type light for use with fluorescent bulbs, and add a grid-type cover to the bottom to avoid errant cue tips from taking out the bulbs. The lighting will be truer, and brighter, and the fluorescent is much more energy-efficient and longer lasting. As to matching the stain to the table....companies like MinWax actually have sample 'chips'...like the paint sample chip cards...for their various stains...making it much easier to match the stain color.

I just bought a 60" Stained glass flourscent light (4' flourscents). It seems ok but I'm still looking for something better.

Lisa I can get my old box type light (57" medium oak stain) back for around 150.00. It currently has 3 light bulbs in it but I still have the old 4' flourscents for it in my garage. It works perfectly for a standard (44" x 88") table and matched my old Oak Ohausen perfectly. Let me know if you are interested in this light.
