I'm looking to purchase an excellent quality whole pre-ban African ivory tusk. Please send PM if you happen to have one for sale that is gathering dust or is being used for a doorstop, etc.

Thanks,
Martin

Good luck jazz! ive tried this in the past, let me know if it works out!

Bill, If I come across 2 are you interested? Once I get on it, it's merely a matter of time and market. Of course it would be great to see one or two at a yard sale! I don't expect my post here to bear fruit, but you never know.

The elephant tusks are very expensive but Hippo ivory is very easy to get and quite reasonable if you're wanting it for cue material.

I haven't heard that Hippo ivory is an equal substitute. I have no problem paying a fair market price for a high quality tusk though.
