Larry,

I've got one, silver ring, first edition. Have used it some with my Whistler and my Scruggs, but have two originals for each, which to me, shoot just as well. Anyway, would sell it for $140 plus shipping. Let me know if you're interested.

Shaft is what I consider straight (extremely slight roll on my home table), is 12.75 mm as measured with my calipers, and has slight blueing, which would probably clean up. It has a moori medium tip on it, 1/2 to 3/4 of tip remaining, currently shaped to a dime radius. Here is a not so very great picture of it that I took tonight to give you an idea.

Steve,

Is the 1st Edition Predator Shaft the one with 10 laminates ( sections of wood ) ??

Is your shaft straight and what kind of ferrule does it have - dosen't Predator use their own short ferrule ??

Whats the weight of the shaft and how slight is the roll ?

Just wondering, I might be interested.

I know many of the Pro's use Predator shafts.

Thanks - Tommyd1

Larry,

Got to thinking about what I put in last post and thought I would clarify it further. I originally got the 314 to use with my Whistler full splice, but have ended up using the original shafts, which have ivory ferrules and moori tips. Have rolled both of my Scruggs shafts, both of my Whistler shafts, and a predator 314-2 shaft that I have on a 5K2, and all have a very slight change in the amount of daylight that shows under the shaft when you get down level with it and roll it on the table. There is no perceivable lift of the shaft that can be discerned when rolled. I attribute any change in the amount of light seen when shaft is rolled to the professional taper that is on all my shafts.

Like said before, I have ended up using the original shafts for my Whistler and this 314 rarely ever leaves the case, so when saw your post, thought it might be of use rather than sitting in the case.
