I can't remember if I showed you this one or not so here goes (I apologize if I already have), no ebony but awesome old purpleheart:
I have a Kenny Murrell sneaky that was converted from an older Brunswick blank (60s-70s) of great rich looking purpleheart w/one shaft (points not even but it looks so cool) - the cue plays great.
I bought the butt separately but I have a really nice Ned Morris custom shaft w/the same black collar that matches up nicely w/the butt - the shaft is around 12.65mm weighs a little over 4.2oz (great wood & full shaft) and has a new medium Tad layered tip. The Tad tips play and perform great, but seem a little harder than the standard medium tips.
It's a great setup, looks and plays great - the cue weighs just under 19oz w/the butt being around 14.7oz. Sold.
Here are a bunch of pics. Everything straight together and apart. It's a 3/8-10 pin. Although it is not signed, I have an email from Kenny stating that he made the cue with care instructions to keep his oil-base finish looking like new forever. If I can answer any other questions please let me know.
I believe my buddy has a Sly like the one below except it has a purpleheart joint and different ringwork. If you're still interested in one let me know and I'll check it out when I see him Thursday. It also has 2 shafts and Leon builds a great cue!
