WTB: Small piece of clear Lexan

I'm looking to pick-up a small piece of clear lexan to make my own portable bridge head. I'll need a piece atleast 5"x8", and between 1/4" and 3/8" thickness. It can be tinted color, as long is it's slightly transparant. Anyone have a scrap piece laying around they could sell me?. PM me if you can help. Thanks.
 
I can get you the piece for free but you'd have to cover the S&H charges. Not easier to just go to a local glass shop and get a scrap? Or a plastic/plexi supplier?
 
I work for a plastics company. We mold chips for samples, but they are smaller than what you need. We get customers samples of various shape, sizes and material. I can look around for you. Do you have a color preference? Most of the samples are polycarbonate.

You know, I was trying to find a plastics supplier in my area to no success, but didn't even think about a glass supplier. There's one just up the road from me, maybe I'll go give them a try tomorrow. Thanks for all the help guys, if I can't find any, I will PM you about getting some from one of you. :)
 
I was able to get some pretty decent sized scraps from a homedepot/lowes type place awhile back for free for a different purpose, but definatly give it a try!!!!!

Thanks for the advice MacGyver, I'll definitely drop into my local Home Depot. :)

BTW - Did you use the Lexan, a paper clip and an elastic band to create a makeshift bomb designed to blow open a locked door in the knick of time?. :D

I notice at Osh they also sell it, in the section where they sell screens for screen doors and glass. They have quite a variety.

Can you get 5mm cast acryllic tube with a 2 inch I.D. in assorted colors. I want to make some special... lamps.

I'm pretty sure they are only located on the West Coast but Tap Plastics has all kinds of stuff like that. If you find something I'd can pick it up for you if you're willing to pay the shipping costs.

I found some lexan at a local glass shop, the guy gave me some free customer samples that were the perfect size. Thanks for all the advice guys, and the generous offers. :)
