WTB Sniper Hard Tips

I would like to buy 4 Sniper hard tips and thought I would patronize those here on AZ. I have bought some on the Net before, but cannot remember where. The guy I took them to for installation said he had never seen such hard tips. I told him to soak the edges with water and use a razor blade. That worked. I luv the hit and feel. I have a Tiger X shaft that came with a Sniper hard tip, and it is as hard as a rock but still holds chalk and grips.

I have heard in the past someone said that Snipers are only medium and not hard. However the site that I bought them from advertised them as hard, and they are indeed very hard. I do not want medium.

Hi, I'm a billiard supplier and distributor and I can confirm that there is no such thing as hard snipers. Probably the guy who you bought them from , didn't know that . But there is something aou there called the tip venom which will harden your tip , this might do the work. Let me know if you want any. You may visit our web-site at www.thewinningstroke.com

Hi Shawn

I was at Valley Forge 2 years ago and watched u win. I was rooting for u all the way. I sat beside your friend that u practice with and u were kind enough to autograph a Q for me. Thanx again and good luck at VF next year.

Are they the hard Sniper tips as shown in the link I just posted? I do not want the mediums. The link says if I buy $50 worth, it is free shipping. If I buy 5 from u, can u match that? Not wanting to b picky, but I'm retired and on a small fixed income, after my divorce, and $$ is a problem. She got the $$, and I got the shaft. :( , and it didn't have a Sniper tip. :D

snipers are only 1 hardness. tiger only makes 1 tip called sniper. soft at first but they harden up. try tiger everest tips little harder. i switched from sniper to everest.

call atlas. tiger makes everyone advertise a certin price but you can get them cheaper if you call.

I can definitely match that offer.
Do you have Paypal or will you be sending a money order ?
By the way, Snipers are only one grade hardness. There is no S,M, or hard.

This says they are hard. Although this is not the site that I bought from and the price here is far lower than I paid.

You are getting the brand name mixed up with the manufacturer's name. Tiger Products makes the Sniper tip and it comes only in medium. I have installed literally hundreds of these and I'm very familiar with the hardness. They are medium hardness for sure.

However, Tiger products also makes the Tiger tip and they come in soft, medium, & hard. PM me if you need some of the hard and I can get them to you with free shipping.

The green is the Tiger line (cowhide in Soft, Med., and Hard)
The yellow is the Jump/break tip
And the red is the Tiger Everest(pigskin) Med/Hard
You want the Sniper. The same tip that came on your X-Shaft.

OK, yes, I c. I was definately looking at the Tiger brand. Upon reading more carefully u folks seem to b correct. The tips I have seem to b very hard, but must b medium (unless I bought Tiger hard and thought it was a Tiger Sniper). Thanx for all the replies and info.

This looks like they have 3 (soft, med., hard) They are shown in the original cans. Green, yellow, and red. Is there 1, or 3?

There is only 1 Tiger Sniper (specific name) tip which is medium.
Beyond that Tiger also makes hard, medium and soft Laminated tips that have no specific name. Then they have the Everest and Dynamite which are also layered but have these specific names. The Everest is medium hard, the dynamite really hard.
Lastly they have the jump/break tips which are rock-hard. You most likely want the Tiger Laminated Hard.

i have seen some Snipers that are tall like Moori and some that are short like a Talsiman.what's up with that?

Sniper are a light blue color. If you tip is any other color than that you dont have a sniper. . As far as thickness that could be down to how they were instaled.

they were both brand new and both light blue/grey in color.both were said to be Snipers.

i stopped using moori bc they are sometimes unavailible.

ive used sniper and everest instead. never noticed a hight diff but im sure its possible
