WTB Southwest plain Jane ("Pacifier")

I like to get a SW plain jane cue. I'm told they are called "Pacifiers".
Their website seems to indicate they are $500. I don't feel like waiting.
Anyone have a nice one? I don't want to pay a premium! As a matter of fact...I need it to be pretty inexpensive. I just want the "hit".
Peace,
Jeff

Lotsa luck with this one, Jeff. A lot of folks want a SW pacifier, but they are a little hard to come by, like all the other SW cues. I don't think you can get a decent set of fancy SW joint protectors for $500 anymore. As for their regular cues, I waited 6 years for my first and am in year 5 of 8 for a couple
more. Joe

Joe,
I shot with one of these that a buddy of my had with him tonight...I frickin loved it! How can I get that hit...cheap???

It is not possible. Best you can do is to get with someone like billiardcue.com, Indyq.com, CueAddicts.com, Erik Lee or some of the other folks who have some SW cues often and try to get a plain one, but I have never seen one sell for under $1200.

Try an Ariel Carmeli sneaky pete. AC cues also tend to have a stiff hit. You'll have money left over! If you can swing it, upgrade to a custom Carmeli with no points. They are good players and come with 2 premium white maple shafts.

Last I heard, there has been no time to make any Satin or "pacifier" cues for the last few years at SW.

Is 12 to 15 hun cheap? That's about min to get the "hit". Although many have tried no other maker gets that hit on a consistant basis.Needless to say there are MANY great cues/makers but only one that consistantly hits like a SW.:)

Martin,
I took a look at the AC Plaine Jane's on your website. Yup, they look like nice, well made Plaine Jane's. But, I really want the hit I had with my buddy's SW! Is AC the cuemaker that will get me the closest?
Anyone else's opinions welcome!

The satin SW that sold on E-Bay last week went for $1776, but I wouldn'y sell mine for that. It takes time like Bamacues said (And I have even spent the day at Lauries home and napped on her couch and the waiting list keeps on growing).

South West Cue

Two years ago at the glass city open joe salazar had a buyer for my plain South West at $1900,thought about it for a moment but then thought about the 8 years i had to wait and turned it down.I don't think you'll find one near that price.

good SW storie

good storie about SW.

at jacks rec room in franklin OH,one of the guys went to vegas and told jack that while he was there he would get a few SW's from lori.he went there and told lori that he wanted to buy a few cues and that he had cash, she said good i'll put you on the list,he proceeded to pull out $10,000 and said now what will that get me to which she replied your name on the list!how strong is that?

cant duplicate the hit

I have been playing with my '97 southwest plainjane for 9 years now...nothing plays like it, NOTHING. - Ive tried a Zylr, a mottey, a bcm ( very close to the hit, but its not) a kikel, a few bluds ( hits close too) and the list grows...but my SW is my money cue...when the cash is on the light this cue is the one that I bring.

either pay the cash for one/ put your name on the list or just get something else. you wont be disappointed with a SW.

good luck

Ryan

WE HEAR YOU!!

Besides being able to duplicate the hit they also:

have an overdose of integrity

do what they say

If they were a public co I'd buy stock:)
